OctPoWriMo - Day 3 - Cheritas (Too Hot)

Dear Readers, I have found a form that works wonders with my brain. The Cherita, a Malaysian poetic form, is like storytelling and songwriting without the rhyming and meter. There isn't  even any repetition. Cherita means story, and I'm excited to try it out.

Also, technically they are untitled poems, but I'm in the habit of titling my poems.

Writing Prompt: Metal, Taste, Taste of Metal

Too Hot

Licking my lips

From the last meal,
the metallic burn leeching

Onto my tongue,
nothing else remains
but charred steel.

Leave me some love below...

  4. I am envisioning some sort of inhuman creature, and a powerful one, which can consume metal.
    I am a bit of a sci-fi nerd.
