OctPoWriMo - Day 14 - Movement (A Good Reminder)

I don't write political poetry, Dear Readers, but there is something I remind myself of on a weekly basis. Stay angry. Today's poem is just that, a reminder, whether for those living in these times, and also a time capsule for the future to know how we survived these times.

I also appreciate opinions and you are welcome to leave them in the comments below. I want to know what you think, and it is okay. I accept opinions of all sorts, just remember to be nice when you post, even if you are angry. And it is possible to be so.

Enjoy!

Writing Prompt: Movement (Poetic Prompt - Cherita [I'm am in love with this form])

A good reminder to always stay angry

when watching the news in the year 2017
resisting the complacency they feed us

whether on Twitter or Fox News--
igniting passions or ire,
sometimes it is the same thing.

  1. Oh, it's easy to stay angry when Not-My-President Tweety 45, aka Lord Dampnut is always spewing his petty opinions, all while the country sinks deeper into depression both economic and emotional.

    1. Yes, indeed. Staying angry keeps my perspective alive and allows me to stay active and to fight back.
