OctPoWriMo Day #10: (dancing on air)

Word Prompts: Euphoric, Dance, In the clouds, Delight, Joy

Poetic Form: Con-Verse; rhyme scheme as aa,bb,cc,dd,ee / meter as 7,7,8,8,9,9,10,10,11,11

Second Feud

In a moment I forgot
of time, all that I was taught.

That when you acquire some joy
that time becomes a jester's ploy.

Stealing moments away in delight
like a ravenous dragon to fight.

Because a euphoric love came to play
and time was left, of course to run away.

A mocking poem about how the feelings and time can be at odds. Can you see what I do with that? Who are my characters in this poem? What do you think, Dear Readers? This form is a rhymed and metered form, which is a challenge, because I have to have rhymer.com, dictionary.com, and count EVERY lines syllables. 'Twas a bit o' work, but methinks it indeed worked.

OctPoWri Mo - Day 17 - The Dragon Chose... (Minimal Dream)

The Prompt

Here's my challenge to you: Choose 50 words. Write a poem using only those words, repeating and rhyming as you see fit. You can use the words as many times as you like, but limit yourself to just the 50 words.

Not particularly please with this poem, Dear Readers. I had wanted to play with rhyme, but there didn't seem to be time. (Oh, hahaha, Dear Muse!) Taking the feel and ambiance of the fairy tale, I free versed it. There is some potential there, but it's not what I was aiming for.

I used more than 50 words and only repeated one line three times, but still I feel there is something in this poem to maybe return to after OctPoWriMo and review it.

I would love input of this one, Readers. Do you think it works? Favourite parts? Weakest part? Leave me some love in the comments below. Enjoy!

Word Prompts: And the dragon chose, fairy tale, fantasy, minimalism, fiction

from MorgueFile
Minimal Dream

And the dragon chose
a tasty reminder--
always take
the quixotic route
to adventure,
as you will find yourself
lost
       in
                       whimsy,
eating Turkish Delites
and
when you can no longer stand--
the dragon chose,
to ask you to the prom
dancing in times
and in musical rhyme.

Dream-like
and shining.
Travel by umbrella,
on breezes that taste of
lemon and meringue,
so soft and fluffy
only to arrive at your destination--
you'll never guess where...

...upon your bed,
laughing as the Dragon chose
for you to
eat your pillow
as you would eat a
Turkish Delite.

Day 23 and 24: Undoubtedly and Fantastical (Haiku and Lento, respectively)

Day 23: Prompt: Undoubtedly (Haiku)

Today dawns gloomy--
A day like any other

Without writing prompt.

From MorgueFile

Day: 24 Prompt: Fantastical (Lento)

Fantastic Feeling

In the midst of the controlled chaos--
When the energies of every colour,
Begin building up the surrounding pathos,
Then sings with a gentle purr.

From that song, the world breaths life--
Calm, a pulse you feel within your chest
From something tripping the fantastical and rife; a
Psalm that will make you feel blessed.

This form was really hard, with double rhyme in the beginning and at the bend. I left you with a little joyous hope today; I hope you enjoy, Dear Readers.
