St. Brigid's Day Acrostic

Topic: Imbolc, St. Brigid's Day, Brigid

A to Z Challenge: Letter I

Poetic Style: Acrostric/Abecedarian

And now for today’s prompt to write an abecedarian poem – a poem with a structure derived from the alphabet. There are a couple of ways of doing this. You could write a poem of 26 words, in which each word begins with a successive letter of the alphabet. You could write a poem of 26 lines, where each line begins with a successive letter. Or finally, if you'd prefer to narrow your focus, perhaps you could write a poem which focuses on a few letters, using words that repeat them.

Brigid's Day

A day of festivals
Brigid, we come to see thee
Come and favour us
Day of dancing and singing
Either all or nothing to give.
Farewell, we bid the Winter
Greetings to the Spring forthcoming and
Home blessings are requested.
Imbolc is your time, Brigid,
Just as the sun rises and
Kairos,
Let us dance under the sunlight.
Merry Meet--
Never waste a chance!
Oh, St. Brigid grace this
Place, this Home
Quietly tread here and
Receive you tribute,
Serendiptous
Tidings to you.
Under Brigid's watch
Verily, we now dance
Waiting for the time
eXpressing love--
You, loving with greatest
Zeal.

OctPoWriMo Day 10: World Mental Health Day

Something simple for World Mental Health Day.

No one should travel alone when dealing with Mental Health, whether Depression, Bi-polar, Anxiety, ADHD, or any of the other Mental Disorder. If you suffer, don't be afraid to seek help. If you know friends and/or family with a Mental Illness, remember to reach out a hand. Sometimes the hand extended is the start that someone needs.

I have friends who live with Mental Health Issues. I do not judge and I try to be as supportive as I can. It also hits close to home as my Mom suffered Diabetic Depression for years and never really got the proper help she needed. I will always have Two Ears to listen. Don't give up and know that you are NOT ALONE! Dear Reader, Friends, family, and people I meet at Denny's, that goes for all of you too!

We are stronger together, let us all help each other!

Today's Prompt: Mental Health/Mental Illness

Today's Form: Acrostic Poetry

Minds are extremely fragile and
Entirely vast in their depths.
Never fully understood,
The Mind and how it works there is
Always more to undercover.
Lest we forget to acknowledge the

Health of the brain.
Everyone feels sad or angry sometimes
And  sometimes that feeling lingers.
Let not you travel this road alone,
There are always ears to listen, to

Hear your pain and ease your heart.
