Today is WIPpet Wednesday, brainchild of K.L. Schwengel where writers share a bit of their current WIP by using today's date to connected to the snippet shared. For example, today's date is 8/5/2015 and I will share 5 lines from Once Upon a Cloud...with a little more about Stratus and Cumi's relationship. this is after Stratus's friend has walked away (you haven't really meant him yet). Read my fellow WIPpeteers here!

Gesturing over his shoulder at his friend Stratus said, “Don’t tempt him, Kid. He’s more experience in the affairs around here than you are. You, you might be older, but he knows how the Terran works. Mind you,” he said pointing a plastic fork at her and eying her sharply. “I also know you too well, Kid. I’m older still.” He pointed to his chest, “Watch yourself around him!” He pointed at her, looking sternly, “He’s a good ‘un, but he does like the less inexperienced, and you, My Dear are very inexperienced.” Smiling Strat leaned over and kissed her on the lips, sliding his tongue just a little bit past her lips. Suddenly angry Cumi did not pull away, but something felt odd that maybe she was being judged.

It was warm and wet and lasted for a while with saliva passing between the two of them. Cumi felt her body temperature rise as she finally pulled away,“You are bad,” she said eying him. A frown appeared on her lips, but she didn’t try to swat him.

  1. Weird Al, hooray!

And another intriguing snippet. I'm wanting to see more of how these worlds collide, for Cumi, personally, and in general...

Looks like you're making progress, and that's a good thing! =)

And so much more to come, but Cumi and Strat are a little tight lipped this week. Must be kissing still... :-)

  3. Hope you're having fun at the concert! You're doing a great job on your goals--one question: how do you keep the books straight, when you're reading 3 (or is it 4) at a time? I can only do this if one is fiction the second is non-fiction and then the third is a book on cd!

    1. Usually I read one chapter for each book in the morning and then focus on one particular during the rest of the day. I read slower so it absorbs into the grey matter. Of course once I get far enough I focus on one book solely until finished.

  4. Hope you had a wonderful time with Weird Al. I may have said this before, but I am totally jealous. Your snippet was fun. I love that she says "You are bad" I was just thinking that before I read it. Good luck from a ROW80 blog hopping friend.

  6. Weird Al!!! I saw him in concert a good 15 years ago during his Running with Scissors tour. He's just so much fun.

I'm totally with ReGi here. Cumi should have socked him. I sure would have. LOL!

  8. Hope the concert was great!

Ohh, is that a rebellious streak there in Cumi? There's something about being told not to do something that makes it suddenly seem quite appealing, isn't there?
