OctPoWriMo Day 13: Colours Reign

Today's writing prompt is about colour. How colour make me feel. What colours inspire me and the like. I am using the  tri-fall form today, because I not only want to practice the form, but I am getting a real sense when to use a form and when to just free verse it. Also, today I am in a mood. Not really a bad mood, but a less positive one. I need to inspire myself within. The Tri-fall make me think of a waterfall, starts off gentle and builds to grand finish or explosion of colour, light, sound, etc.

Writing Prompt: Colour, Vermilion, Reds, Golds, Indigo, Silvery

Poetry Form: Tri-fall - a,b,c, a,b,c (6/3/8 6/3/8)

Colours Reign

When the sun sets, crimson

Fire born--
The sky alive with red and golds.
Like celestial fission--
from MorgueFile
sky's warn
of the impending twilight's folds.

Then bleeding Indigo,
comes the dusk
to reign across the heavens bright.
Like a Queen she will show,
manner brusque,
royal ceremonial rite.

Violet night to descend
Midnight faun
to guard all the silvery fay.
When the Night plans to wed
Lady Dawn
In rehearsal of colour's play.
